Beginning from Albuquerque and heading North on the Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway (State Highway 14), you will first reach the East Mountains of Albuquerque. The East Mountains include the village of Cedar Crest and the Cibola National Park area of Sandia Peak, the highest point on the Turquoise Trail.
